Yamaha artist Jeff Schroeder shares his musical journey from a childhood obsession with KISS to joining one of the biggest rock bands of all time as a guitarist in The Smashing Pumpkins. Jeff explains how he first came to play the guitar, talks through the musical projects and detours which brought him to where he is today, and the story of his custom Yamaha Pacifica guitars. “These custom-made Pacificas that I’m playing now really are the culmination of many years of recording, touring, playing different guitars, and trying to put as much of that knowledge and information into one guitar that I can play for most of the night. The guitar at its purest point should just be a vehicle for your inner voice coming out through it and an expression. Yamaha artist Corey McCormick plays bass with Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, as well as with his trio Organa. He discusses his career from gigging every night in college through becoming a sought-after sideman, pursuing mastery of both the electric and upright bass along the way. Yamaha basses have accompanied Corey around the world as he shared stages with Neil Young, Willie Nelson, and Koshi Inaba-and on set for the movie “A Star is Born”. He discusses his vision and the design process for his new custom BB, as well as its personal significance. “I’ve been dreaming of having a custom bass, probably since I started playing, and it really is a special thing to me. I’m so proud of this bass—it’s one of the things that I’m going to leave for my children.
